Dr Douek cares for women with diabetes during pregnancy and offers a preconception advice clinic at Musgrove Park Hospital. She is keen to see people who have both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to offer advice about how to prepare for pregnancy before they start trying for a baby. Some medications need to be changed or started at least 3 months before trying for a baby. Please ask your GP to refer you to this clinic if you would like advice.
